Taking place March 11-12, Space-Comm Expo is the premier event for the UK space industry, providing support through product demonstrations, keynotes, workshops, and networking opportunities.
On stand C30, Rohde & Schwarz experts will demonstrate the latest test and measurement solutions for this dynamic industry and host a seminar looking at how to tackle the challenges of the evolving pathway to 6G.
Rohde & Schwarz will present technical solutions and insights into the future of wireless access at Space-Comm Expo 2025, London ExCeL, 11-12 March. Supporting both the exhibition and seminar program, Rohde & Schwarz will showcase solutions for testing communication equipment and satellite components, measuring interference and other channel conditions. Visitors to the booth, C30, can see how the R&S®CMX500 system supports equipment developers to simulate the effects of satellite constellations.
They can also preview the latest features for emulating satellite communication channels, included in the R&S FSW and R&S®SMW200A payload and component testers, and learn about signal detection and identification with GSACSM communications systems testing software.

On the opening day, Reiner Stuhlfauth, Technology Manager Wireless at Rohde & Schwarz, will present a seminar titled ‘Test and measurement tackling the challenges of NTN evolving on the path to 6G’, in the Space Technology & Applications Theatre, Hall 11 at 2.40pm. This will describe the expected transformation in wireless access as network infrastructure builds out in the sky.
“Today’s terrestrial networks reach only 40% of the earth’s land mass, leaving about 20% of our population without mobile and Internet services,” Stuhlfauth explains. “Non-terrestrial networks will realize truly inclusive access and enable further global expansion of IoT applications, while driving a technological paradigm shift as the network infrastructure becomes mobile and user equipment relatively fixed.”
Considering future changes, Stuhlfauth will assess the opportunities for new services including instant emergency support for disaster relief, as well as looking at technical details such as the changes to handover management and the effects of time delays and frequency shifts. He will highlight the need for cooperation between experts in low-earth-orbit (LEO) technologies and those in terrestrial mobile as their associated ecosystems converge, testing of components and payloads, and analysis of channel phenomena.
He added, “At Rohde & Schwarz, we have a long history of successful engagement with the satellite and mobile communities and have built a broad portfolio of applicable tools as well as technical competencies. I am excited at the chance for us all to explore the opportunities and overcome the challenges together.”
Visitors to Space-Comm 2025 can meet with Reiner Stuhlfauth and Rohde & Schwarz experts throughout the event. Demonstrations taking place at the booth will highlight critical test and measurement capabilities for developers of satellites and payloads, including components, covering:
NR NTN Device testing:
The CMX500 showcases an all-in-one solution for advanced satellite communication (NR-NTN) with multi-band and multi-orbit support. Experience the robust capabilities of the CMX500 in simulating satellite constellations, complemented by the new Constellation Insight which simplifies the configuration and deployment of these non-terrestrial networks.
Satellite payload and components testing
Rohde & Schwarz experts will showcase the FSW and SMW200A, both cutting-edge tools ideal for satellite payload and component testing. They feature advanced applications such as multi-carrier group delay, OFDM and DVB-S2X generation and analysis, noise figure, Noise Power Ratio (NPR) measurements, and much more. With the new custom dynamic fading option and R&S Space Nexus application, the SMW200A now simplifies the emulation of satellite communication channels on LEO and MEO, commonly needed for Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) testing.
Monitoring and interference hunting
GSACSM communication system monitoring is a SATMON software solution for remote spectrum monitoring and signal analysis. GSACSM comes with classic spectrum analyser functions, trapping systems and advanced signal detection and identification algorithms.
