Scottish thermal energy storage company Sunamp has partnered with Jiangsu Gomon New Energy Technology Co. Ltd. to launch the China-UK Companies Phase Change Thermal Storage Technology Innovation Center and begin production of heat batteries for domestic hot water to the Asia Pacific market.
The facility introduces Sunamp’s pioneering and patented Plentigrade® PCM technology to China, combining Scottish innovation with Chinese manufacturing scale. Sunamp’s Scottish factory will continue to serve growing demand in Europe and other global markets, with the China site operating under license as part of its international sales expansion model into new territories.
“Our partnership with Gomon is a landmark step in making our phase change technology available worldwide,” said Maurizio Zaglio, head of global partnerships at Sunamp. “This collaboration allows us to deliver innovative, low-carbon solutions tailored to Asia Pacific while continuing to grow our European base.”
