Titan Sponsorship Fuels Paralympian’s Winning Start to 2025 Season

British wheelchair tennis star Lucy Shuker thanked Weymouth’s Titan Manufacturing for supporting her successful U.S. tour, boosting her momentum for the season ahead.

Earlier this year, Titan Manufacturing announced a new partnership with Lucy to support her journey towards her sixth Paralympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028. Their sponsorship, provided on a quarterly basis, has already made a tangible impact – funding a vital training week in Orlando between tournaments as part of Lucy’s early 2025 campaign.

A pioneer in the sport for almost two decades, Lucy, who lives in Wimborne, Dorset, has represented Great Britain at five Paralympic Games, winning bronze medals at London 2012 and Rio 2016, and a silver medal at Tokyo 2020. She was also honoured to be a flag bearer for Team GB at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.

Speaking about the impact of the sponsorship, Lucy said:

“I just can’t thank Titan Manufacturing enough for their continued support. Their funding allowed me to stay on in the U.S. for a high-quality training week at the USTA National Campus in Orlando. Not only was this a huge physical benefit, avoiding the strain of transatlantic travel mid-tour, but it also gave me the chance to fine-tune my game ahead of a crucial stretch of competition. I’m truly grateful.”

Lucy’s USA Spring Tour delivered a string of standout results, headlined by her singles victory at the Houston Open – her first singles title since 2023 – and capturing the doubles title at her debut Miami Open appearance. She also claimed the doubles crown at the prestigious Cajun Classic Super Series, marking her sixth career Super Series win. Earlier in the tour, she also reached the doubles final at the Georgia Open, finishing as runner-up.

Most recently, Lucy headed to Japan for two consecutive tournaments, narrowly missing out on a second Super Series title of 2025 after losing in a match tie-break in the final of the women’s doubles at the Japan Open. Next up is a busy European season, with the Paralympian determined to build on her early-season momentum.

Ryan Hanger, Director at Titan Manufacturing, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to see Lucy’s hard work and dedication already paying off with such fantastic results. To know our sponsorship is making a direct difference to her preparation and performance is hugely rewarding.

“Lucy continues to inspire not just through her achievements on the court, but through her resilience, drive, and passion for her sport. We’ll be cheering her on every step of the way.”
