Global textile designer and manufacturer, Camira is celebrating a trio of accolades at Clerkenwell Design Week for the company’s commitment to sustainable innovation and circular design.
Camira was presented with the Best of Clerkenwell, Best Material Innovation and Textile awards for its textile-to-textile recycled wool fabric, ReSKU 2.0, which is inherently flame retardant and made from a blend of recycled wool and renewable flax.
Commenting on the award wins, Camira’s CEO Alan Williams said:
“These awards serve as a powerful endorsement of Camira’s unwavering commitment to sustainability. The textile industry is responsible for a significant amount of waste each year, and our focus on textile-to-textile recycling—reusing both our own waste and that of other industries—is making a positive impact and leading the industry toward a better, more circular future. We are truly honoured to have our efforts recognised in this way.”
The inaugural CDW Product Awards is a groundbreaking programme celebrating the most innovative, visionary products shaping the future of design. In partnership with SANDOW Design Group, the design industry’s leading media platform, the awards offer a unique opportunity to showcase new products at one of the world’s most prestigious design festivals.
Camira has long been at the forefront of sustainable textile innovation, creating performance commercial fabrics made from natural wool, bast fibres, and recycled materials for more than 25 years.
